Proposal Process InformationOnce you have completed your proposal narrative and budget and are ready to submit your proposal, you need to attach a Proposal Routing Form to your proposal package, sign on the PI line, have any CO-PIs sign, get your school chair's signature then send to Chris Fehrenbach in the IAC Dean's Office, mailcode 0525, all as one "proposal package". Once the budget has been reviewed, the Dean will sign the proposal and it will be sent to the Office of Sponsored Programs who will submit it on your behalf and the behalf of the Georgia Tech Research Corporation. If there are other units involved with the proposal, you will need to get their signatures and their department heads' signatures. LinksAll requests for waivers on indirect costs should be routed to the Associate Dean of Research and Faculty Development, Dr. Susan Cozzens, before sending to the Senior Vice Provost for Research and Innovation. Sub-agreements and consulting agreements for sponsored research projects: If you need to sub out part of your grant, you need to obtain authorization from the sponsor. This should always be included in your original proposal. Once you are awarded, this link will provide information on how the sub-agreement or consulting agreement is administered. Information on export controls: All international agreements need to be reviewed to determine if they are subject to export controls. Also, international travel must be reviewed for any possible export control items. There is a new Travel Authority Request which filters international travel for export review. Approval for International Travel must be submitted no later than 30 days PRIOR to the departure date.
